Hello,
I am so glad you are here! I am a learning coach who believes every learner deserves instruction that truly fits them. I specialize in individualized reading, writing, and spelling intervention for learners with a wide range of strengths and needs.
My credentials include a Master of Science in Psychology, Board Certification as an Assistant Behavior Analyst, and licensure as an Assistant Behavior Analyst. I also have an application for the Orton-Gillingham Academy Associate Certificate pending.
My work blends structured, evidence-based literacy instruction and fluency building with compassionate, emotionally sound support. Sessions are flexible and responsive, guided by ongoing data collection so we can clearly see what’s working—and adjust quickly when something isn’t. Progress is never a guess; it’s measured, celebrated, and built upon.
Above all, I strive to create a warm, encouraging learning environment where students feel safe to take risks, leave bad habits behind and grow as capable, independent learners.
My Story
After leaving a career onboard luxury mega-yachts, my heart was pulled into early childhood education, and I started working as a paraprofessional in a Kindergarten classroom. Fascinated by the learning differences between a diverse group of learners, I enrolled at Georgia Southern University to pursue Early childhood education. In an accidental elective, I found my love for behavior science and its explanation of, and application to learning.
During my studies I was fortunate to have practicum opportunities, education, and mentorship with some of the most influential academic behavior scientists in the field, including at Morningside Academy in Seattle. This experience as a progress monitor had a profound impact on my work and prompted me to attend their Teacher's Institute where I learned the theory and process of the Morningside Model of Generative Instruction- programming instruction to be as efficient as possible, generating applicability and use in the real world. I also spent time learning under experts in Instructional Design and Precision Teaching as a Learning Coach for children with learning differences, and the educators and analysts working to support them.
Since finishing my master's degree in Behavior Analysis, I have been working as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) supporting individuals with autism and their families. I also continue to support learners with academic needs remotely and I provide Orton-Gillingham intervention in Savannah. Across all of my work, I am driven by a commitment to thoughtful measurement, effective teaching, and compassionate, learner-centered practice.
